We have just completed our first major update of our playlist, extending by another hour and a half to just over three hours in total. It’s been a very hectic week with new material appearing almost daily. We even have visits from a few guest artists. Tune in, check it out & let us know what you think.

So, you think you have what it takes to write a theme tune that will drive listeners to despair because they can’t get it out of their heads?
Excellent! Here’s the deal.
Our young, vibrant, off beat, and close to the edge duo, Vincent and Gibbo Jr, collectively known as VaG are presenting sport and youth current affairs every week on our program but they need a kick arse theme tune.
To help you along, some of their edgy catch crys include, “we all need a little VaG”, “Slip into some VaG” and “Come deeper into VaG”. You get the idea.
CONDITIONS.
The theme tune should be between 10 and 20 seconds long. Any longer and it would want to be bloody good!
You CAN”T use a cover version and change the words. Copyright is a bitch. It has to be entirely your own work.
You can record your theme with just guitar and voice, or piano and voice, even a bazooki, we don’t care.
When we decide on the “winner”, their tune will be fully produced up in our studio and slipped immediately in the front of the VaG segment of the show for all time, or until we get sick of it, whichever comes first.
When you’re done, get your file down as an mp3 and send it to mail@allaustralianmusic.com
It’s that easy.
What do you get if you win?
You get the satisfaction of saying to your mates, “I wrote that!” Now you just can’t put a dollar value on a prize like that.

In March 2007 a monster was unleashed in Sydney Australia.
Two friends, Mark Johnson (Johno) and Mark Gibson (The Gibbomeister), got together to fuel their mutual passion. Not for each other, but for unsigned and under appreciated Aussie musical talent. Johno had set up his own page on MySpace to pursue and promote his songwriting talents only to discover he was not only far from alone, but he was surrounded by some incredible unsigned talent.
He would often discuss this injustice with his long time friend Gibbo, who also thought it was all a bit sucky.
Soon after, Johno went into partnership with Gibbo and they formed their own record label GTM. but it didn’t seem like enough. This is when Gibbo’s hamster began to run around frantically on it’s little wheel. When it finally fell off the wheel, he called Johno and relayed his idea of establishing an internet radio station that would dedicate itself to playing the best of Aussie unsigned talent.
Gibbo made all the arrangements and they began broadcasting their first pre recorded show on March 15th, 2007. The response?….overwhelming.
Musicians are climbing over themselves to get on board from all over the country. Digital music distribution companies are talking about coming on board to supply an endless stream of great Aussie unsigned talent for the station playlist.
The beauty is that almost no style is excluded from what they’ll play. The main playlist is main stream rock and pop, but regular scheduled broadcasts are planned to be interspersed throught each week. Classical, Accoustic, Jazz, Country, you name it. If they can get enough material, it will get a spot.
Listeners can vote for their favourite artists and help form the weekly “Top 40″. Musicians can also sell their material through the stations “Buy” link feature.
The station isn’t just a looped playlist either like many other internet stations. It is put together very professionally by the boys with commentary and a few giggles. Not to mention the hottest version of Advance Australia Fair that you’ve ever heard. (Available from our download page).
Fun listener contests are being put together to encourage active participation and some regular guests such as Vincent and Gibbo Jr, collectively known as VaG. They’ll be bringing you a regular weekly sports report and youth orientated editorial commentary.
It doesn’t end there. Mutual agreements with knowaboutaustralia.com will keep listeners right up to date with happenings right around the country.
This has all happened in less than a week. Imagine where we’ll be in a month. A year from now is just scary.
But we will never lose sight of why we did this in the first place. To actively promote unsigned Aussie talent as best we can. If we can have some fun on the way, all the better.
So tune in and join the fun, madness, and great music on live365.com ALL AUSTRALIAN All the time!
